Grace to you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

My name is Bradley Pace, and I am the rector (the senior priest) at St. John’s Episcopal Church. St. John’s is a vibrant parish in the heart of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley. We have been at the epicenter of the area’s history for more than 150 years, and we continue to be right in the middle of the region’s redevelopment and resurgence. St. John’s may be best known in the Valley for our annual Boar’s Head and Yule Log festival (and it is fantastic), but there is a lot more going on at St. John’s. We reach out to the people of the Valley through the Red Door Café and food pantry, our annual rummage sale, and many other mission commitments. We learn together through our exceptional Montessori-based Children’s education, Sunday morning “Coffee Talk” sessions, collaboration with Youngstown State University, and our parish life events. We worship together on Sundays, but also on many other occasions.

The real strength of St. John’s is its people. We are the daughters and sons of the immigrants who came to work in the steel mills, and we are folks who have just moved to the Valley. We work in assembly plants and at hospitals; we are YSU students and professors, teachers, medical professionals, software developers, and public servants. We are children and parents and grandparents. We are young and old. We are liberal and conservative. We are long-time parishioners and relative newcomers. But most importantly, we are an excited, passionate, and talented group of people who are committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ in our community and in our world.

It is my hope that you will come and experience God here with us. If you are just passing through, then we pray that God will go with you on your journey. If you are looking for a church home, we would love to share the ministry of St. John’s with you.

In love and service,
